3-Sentence Stories: #30 Part 2

A cold wind brought me to my senses and I shot bolt upright amid the clucking and squawking.

Shivering and naked, I pulled the feathers from my mouth and hauled myself to my feet, tiptoeing around the pools of fresh blood and the bird carcasses littering the freezing concrete floor of the enclosure.

“Oh no,” I said, “not again.”
