The wrinkled, pink thing was swaddled in blankets and wearing a yellow hat way too big for her head, making her look even smaller than she already was.
“I feel like I’m abandoning her, but I just can’t take care of her by myself,” the young woman said, tears welling in her eyes.
The nurse smiled reassuringly as she replied, “A lot of people feel like that but it’s for the best, and remember…you can visit your grandma as often as you’d like.”
