On 1st August 2012 at 2:30pm I shall be preparing for my ears to pop and my back to ache as I will be on an aeroplane, Iceland-bound.

For three months I’ll be in the capital city of Reykjavik. I shall be alone in a country I have never been to before, armed with nothing but naivety and ignorance.

To say I’m petrified is a understatement.

To allow others to enjoy my fear, I have decided to blog my activities on this site. I’ll also be going to the music festival Iceland Airwaves in October which is featuring such artists as Sigur Rós, Tilbury, Patrick Wolf, Of Monsters and Men, the Vaccines and 1860.

So enjoy my panic, my hysterics, my bewilderment and my guaranteed multitude of embarrassments that I shall begrudgingly document…because god knows I will.
