3-Sentence Stories: #21

Bill ran into the garden with a towel wrapped round his middle for the fifth time that week, his gaze locking immediately onto the beady eye peering at him through the gap in the fence.

He screamed, threw stones and whacked the wooden panels with a spade, but the eye didn’t move.

It was only when he pulled himself over the partition that he realised the peeping tom had nailed his head to the other side of the fence, his wide, unblinking eye now able stare into his neighbours’ home for the rest of eternity.
